1) Good monochromaticity. The light emitted by ordinary light sources includes a wide wavelength range, that is, a wide spectral line width. Compared with ordinary light sources, the spectral line width is reduced by an order of magnitude.

3) Good directionality. The light emitted by ordinary light sources is emitted in all directions, so there is no directionality, and the speed of light has great divergence. If a laser beam is fired at the moon, the diameter of the light spot on the moon’s surface will not exceed 2 kilometers or even smaller.
4) High brightness is defined optically as the light power emitted by a light source in a certain direction per unit area and per unit solid angle. The laser beam can be focused onto a small area through an optical system such as a lens, and has a high brightness. For example, a He-Ne laser with an output power of 1 mw is focused by a lens, and its output laser brightness is 100000 times that of the sun.
